
Creamy Mushroom Pasta
This super quick and easy creamy pasta dish is sure to go down well with the whole family. Suitable for weaning babies, this is a perfect filling lunchtime or dinner choice. You can alter the recipe slightly by using a dairy free cream cheese substitute, for a delicious vegan friendly version.
This super quick and easy creamy pasta dish is sure to go down well with the whole family. Suitable for weaning babies, this is a perfect filling lunchtime or dinner choice. You can alter the recipe slightly by using a dairy free cream cheese substitute, for a delicious vegan friendly version.
Ingredients
- 100g Cream Cheese
- 200ml Cream
- 2 handfuls of Button Mushrooms, sliced
- -2 tsps Garlic Puree (or 2 cloves garlic)
- Splash of White Wine (optional)
- Large pinch of Nutmeg
- Pinch Black Pepper
Method
- Fry the garlic and sliced mushrooms in a drizzle of oil until soft and golden brown.
- Optional: add a splash of white wine to the pan and cook for a couple of minutes until all the alcohol has evaporated.
- Add the cream cheese and cream, and stir well.
- Add your nutmeg and black pepper and simmer the sauce for a couple of minutes before adding to cooked pasta.
