⁣⁣⁣If you're looking for a simple therapeutic activity for all ages to enjoy together then this activity is a perfect choice. This is a unique way for little ones to get creative! Whilst practising those fine motor skills too. ⁣⁣⁣But also great as a calming activity for older children too.

Ingredients

  • Salt⁣⁣⁣
  • PVA glue⁣⁣⁣
  • Printed Line Drawing⁣⁣⁣
  • Paint Brush⁣⁣⁣
  • Food Colouring⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣

Method

  1. Print some line drawings.⁣⁣⁣
  2. Use white glue to draw over the lines of the drawing.⁣⁣⁣
  3. Mix food colouring with a bit of water into bowls for whichever colours you want to use (I recommend doing this before you start so the glue doesn't dry).⁣⁣⁣
  4. Pour salt onto the glue and be liberal so all lines are covered.⁣⁣⁣
  5. Shake the excess salt off so all that's left is the salt on the glue.⁣⁣⁣
  6. With a small paint brush, slowly add colouring to the salt lines (see the video in my stories) as it will quickly and easily absorb into the salt and it looks like magic! You only need a bit of colour at a time to do the trick.⁣⁣⁣
